Text Box: OPEN: MARCH 15TH-OCTOBER 15TH Thank you for visiting our website. Laketime Retreat is located 4 miles east of Disney, Oklahoma on beautiful South Grand Lake. We are just five minutes from Clearwater Bay Marina. We are a small retreat in a residential area with three rental units. Cabins can lodge from two to six guests comfortably for a total of twelve guests. The lake is just across the street with a day dock for guest use. Also, two blocks away is a real nice boat ramp and day dock. There are swing sets for the kids and picnic tables at both locations. We also have a pedal boat that you are welcome to use in our quiet cove. What we at Laketime Retreat strive to give to our guests is a relaxing stay in clean surroundings to serve as a home base for all of the recreational activities Grand Lake has to offer. We try to do this at reasonable rates ranging from $59 to $99 per night (minimum two night booking). Holiday weekends are higher. There are many things that you can do on Grand Lake. If you bring a boat or jet ski, you will have the time of your life on this 60 mile long lake with over 1300 miles of shoreline. If you don’t have a boat, you may decide you want to take advantage of the pontoon boat tours of South Grand Lake. You will see spectacular waterfront homes and places of interest like the Pensacola Dam and Dripping Springs where we can stop and take a cool dip in the water if you like. Hope to see you soon.

Text Box: 1. Area: This is a residential neighborhood, however right across the street there is a community swimming and fishing dock with a swing set. Down the street one block is the community boat ramp and dock. If you want to use the boat ramp a key is available, please lock it after each use. You are welcome to use either of these for swimming, fishing or any appropriate water activity. Most of the docks in the area are privately owned and not to be used with the exception of the two mentioned, however the shoreline is public, so you are welcome to walk the shore and fish. The lake and shore are governed by the Grand River Dam Authority and they do stop and watch for things like fishing without a license, littering and appropriate behavior while using the lake. 2. Groceries: The major grocery store in the area is Reasor’s Grocery Store located in the Grand Lake Shopping Center. This is just across from Sonic Drive-In in Langley on HWY-82. For gas, sandwich fixin’s and the necessities, turn left on HWY 28 at the storage buildings about three miles to Due’s Stop a Lot. 3. Dining: There are several good places to eat in the area. These include home-style restaurants in Langley and Disney and around the lake. If you want to travel farther Jay is about 20 minutes away and Grove is thirty-five minutes from the cabin. You may want to check the Grand Lake Magazine for a list of restaurants in the area. Most of these can be reached either by boat or car. 4. Shopping: There are several quaint shops and flea markets in Disney, Langley, Jay and Grove selling lake apparel, souvenirs and fishing gear, but if it’s a Wal-Mart you are looking for, the closest is in Jay, Oklahoma about twenty minutes away. They have the smallest Wal-Mart I have ever seen. Vinita has a super center, as does Grove. Grove also has a Lowe’s. 5. Pedal boat: We have a pedal boat that you are welcome to use. If you are interested, please let me know so we can make sure there are life jackets for everyone. If you have youngsters you may want to bring life jackets to fit, however we may have what you need to met your needs. Please be aware that one of the rules of the lake is that no one under the age of twelve is allowed on any type of boat without a life jacket. 6. Entertainment: With nearly 1300 miles of shoreline stretching from the dam at Disney north to Miami, Grand Lake has a variety of yearly entertainment. In Grove there is a museum that is located on the water called Har-ber Village, it is a very interesting way to step back in time. Grand Lake Casino is located at 9630 US HWY 59 in Grove. The dam offers free tours from 7:30 to 3:30 P.M. and Grand Cherokee Golf Course located at the dam is rated as the best nine-hole golf course in Oklahoma. Several of the marina’s located around the lake offer tours, boat and jet ski rentals. For more entertainment options consult your Grand Lake Magazine left in the cabin or stop at any business in the area to pick one up. 7. Supplies: We have kitchenettes equipped with pots, pans, dish towels, dishes, glasses, cups, utensils, silverware coffee, coffee maker, salt and pepper, toaster, small refrigerator, microwave and paper products. All cabins are supplied with sheets, blankets and pillows for the beds. There are TV’s in all of the cabins and we do get the major stations, a small radio and alarm clock are also provided. There is not phone service. 8. Not supplied: Charcoal and lighter fluid, cooler, ice, towels, washcloths, and personal toiletries including shampoo, toothpaste, etc. Did you forget something? Just ask us. Chances are we will be able to help. 9. Cooking: We have a large wood/charcoal burning grill located behind the main house, or you may bring your own portable grill if you wish. We will provide you with wood if you want to cook over wood on the grill,. Recently we just installed a large fire pit in front of the cabins and have adapted it to serve as a grill, Wood is provided.

INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR STAY

Cabin 1-This cabin faces the lake with a good view.  It will sleep 4 comfortably with a separate bedroom with a queen size bed and a queen sized sofa bed.  For your convenience, it has a small kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave and sink.  The bathroom has a full sized tub with a shower and toilet.  The living area has a bank of windows giving you a nice view of the lake.  It also has a flat screen TV/DVD and air conditioner.  This cabin rents for $99 per night, minimum 2 night rental.  Holiday weekends $129 per night with a minimum three night rental.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cabin 2-This is the smallest of our cabins.  It is perfect for two people for a week-end or extra sleeping quarters for a group.  This cabin shares kitchen and bathroom facilities with cabin 3.  It is for that reason, cabin 2 and cabin 3 will not be rented to separate parties at the same time unless requested by both parties.  This cabin features an elevated sleep-number queen sized bed, small living area, table and chairs, refrigerator, microwave, tv and air conditioner.  This cabin rents for $59 per night, minimum 2 night rental.   Holiday weekends $89 per night with a minimum three night rental.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cabin 3-If you like rustic charm, this cabin is for you.  It features a loft overlooking the living area with a full sized bed.  This cabin doesn’t have a view of the lake.  This cabin will sleep six people comfortably.  Along with the full sized bed in the loft, it also has a full sized bed and a full sized futon downstairs.  It is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, tv and air conditioner.   The kitchen and bath facilities are just 10 feet away and is shared with cabin 2.  As mentioned above in cabin 2’s description, cabin 2 and cabin 3 will not be rented to separate parties at the same time unless requested by both parties.  A barbecue grill area is just next to this cabin.  This cabin rents for $99 per night, minimum 2 night rental.  Holiday weekends $129 per night with a minimum three night rental. (This is the only cabin we will rent out if you want to bring a small pet, under twenty-five pounds).

          

To the left you will see the picture of the swim dock located right across the street from the cabin.  The picture at the right shows the boat ramp and day dock.  This is located just one block away from the cabin.  The bottom of the pages left to right are the grilling area, fire pit and dog run.
Text Box: The closest town to Laketime Retreat is Disney, Oklahoma in northeast Oklahoma, where your directions will start. Disney is bordered on the west side by the Pensacola dam. From the east end of the dam, go 3.4 miles east on Hwy 28. On your left you will see a tug boat with a “Cherokee Lake Estates” sign at the corner. Turn left 1 mile to the entrance of Cherokee Lake Estates. Entering Cherokee Lake Estates, follow the yellow Laketime Retreat signs staying on the blacktop until you come to the speed bump.
